History

The story of the birth of Allied Care Experts Medical Center – Aklan, started with a man who envisioned to build hospitals to be co-owned, operated and managed by doctors in the locality, in order to pursue the humanitarian mandate to heal the sick and comfort the dying. That man is DR. AMADO C. ENRIQUEZ (ACE), a distinguished thoracic-cardiovascular surgeon, who graduated from the University of the Philippines, College of Medicine in 1978 and finished his training in Cirugia Cardiovascular y Toracica, Universidad de Navarra, Spain in 1983. After successfully establishing and operating hospitals in Metro Manila several years ago, he moved to Visayas in 2013. Coincidentally on November 1, 2013, he met Dr. Ferjenel G. Biron who brought Dr. Enriquez to Iloilo and built ACEMC-Iloilo, located in Ungka, Jaro, which is envisioned to be the most modern and state-of-the-art, JCI-accredited medical center in the Province of Iloilo. The visionary tandem of Dr. Enriquez and Dr. Biron, led the latter to visit Kalibo, Aklan on May 9, 2017, along with Drs. Meride Daulo-Lavilla, Fredilyn Samoro, Danilo Regozo and Amado Lavalle to introduce ACEMC to a group of Aklanon doctors led by Dr. Simeon A. Arce, Jr. Not long after the initial gathering and several meetings of Aklanon doctors, the First General Assembly of founders from Manila, Iloilo and Aklan took place on September 24, 2017 in Kalibo, giving birth to what is now the ALLIED CARE EXPERTS MEDICAL CENTER-AKLAN INC., envisioned to be the most modern hospital in the Province of Aklan.
